Jason began his financial services career in 1996 working for National Bank of Commerce. A subsequent position with Ameritas Investment Corp would lead him to begin building his own clientele. In 2007, Jason joined Bob Fitzsimmons, Inc. and eventually became successor to Bob's practice. Since then, he has continued to grow his network and facilitate the retirement and smooth client transfer of several veteran colleagues. Jason has been recognized for exceptional service in 2 nationwide publications Investment News’s "40 Under 40” and Advisor Today’s "Four Under Forty,” among other honors He is a former VP and current member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a member of the Financial Services Institute. Beginning June 2020, Jason will take the reigns as President of The Society of Financial Service Professionals.  

Jason earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix and his BS from Bellevue University. In addition, he studied graduate level accounting at the University of Nebraska. He holds Series 6, 7, 24, 26, and 66 securities licenses along with the following designations: Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), Financial Services Specialist (FSS), and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). By mid 2021, Jason will have completed all requirements for his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. 

Jason hails from Pender, Nebraska, a small northeastern farm town. He grew up in a large, close-knit family where hard work, community service and financial responsibility were highly valued.  Today, he and his wife are proudly raising four children together. Jason makes it a point to give back whenever possible through volunteer work in the kitchen at the Peoples City Mission and support of Lincoln City Food Bank, The United Way and St. Jude’s. He coaches youth sports and assists with church events. When he’s not working, Jason loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, hunting, skiing (water and snow) and golfing. Jason maintains a private pilot’s license which he uses both to visit clients and for recreation.
